Caroline Thomas has worked at Portreath School for many years and began her working life in the school as a Lunchtime Supervisor and Teaching Assistant. Her current role is as Business Manager and front of house, in the school office.
She loves working with children and some of her weekly timetable is spent teaching ICT, a passion of hers. Keen to develop the school’s practice in computing she has, over the years, been instrumental in establishing a programme of learning for all year groups, incorporating the ICT suite and portable devices to encourage the children in becoming ICT literate.
As a resident of the village Porteath holds a very special place in her heart and she is a committed lifetime member of the Surf Life Saving Club, contributes to the Portreath Improvement Committee and assists at the village’s Lantern Parade, Harbour Fun Day and various celebratory occasions that take place in Portreath throughout the calendar year.
Mrs Thomas loves spending time with her family and keeps fit by running, currently training for a half marathon.
